You may use either end of the mallet while singing your bowl to achieve the tone you desire. The small size is perfect for smaller bowls that measure about 4-5 inches in diameter or less. The medium size is great for medium bowls that measure around 6-8 inches in diameter. Large is great for bowls 8+ inches.
